Cooling a transformer enclosure is a conjugate heat-transfer problem, and a slow one to simulate. Our model predicts the temperature and pressure fields directly from the enclosure geometry and its operating conditions — dissipated power and ambient temperature — returning surface and internal-flow results in seconds.
The numbers are the point. A CFD run of this case takes around one hour on a 16-core machine. Our model returns the same answer in about ten seconds — fast enough that the analysis stops being something you commission and becomes something you simply do.
Geometry is parametric: the enclosure is resized from length, width and height, so an engineer can sweep the design space directly in the browser and watch the thermal behaviour respond. What normally takes a simulation campaign becomes an interactive study. The vertical was developed together with a European manufacturer that installs these systems.
